Capstone Project/Global Education Guide

Global Education Symposium, Washington DC,February 15-17, 2018
During the last few days I had the chance to meet my cohort with whom I will be traveling to Peru, June 18-July 4th. I finally met the people with whom I was interacting online with the course. What a very nice group of eager, intelligent and outgoing people. The whole conference was so organized and allowed for us to learn more about each other as people and not just as fellows, and I appreciated that.
Actually, it was during the more informal happy hour/dinner at the Peruvian restaurant, Nazca Mochica, www.nazcamochica.com/, where everyone's individual stories began to play out. We learned about each other's struggles and successes, interesting background facts and how the intersection of where geography and race/ethnicity, sex and other variables shapes our own unique stories. Here we are (the PERU CREW) pictured during the last day of the conference where we exchanged ideas about global education, learned about other travel opportunities (and how to fund them), and our big plans and dreams for global education once we get back to our schools and after the International Field Experience (IFE).
